Those who have A4 devices and have a registered UDID would be glad to know that redsn0w was updated to support the latest iOS beta release aka beta 3. The new version comes in the form of 0.9.13dev3. We were surprised to say the update so soon even though any software update will be vulnerable to Geohot’s Limera1n exploit. The reasons for such a quick patch may be due to the fact that iOS 6 beta 3 was self-described as a bug-fix and an improvement update, and there wasn’t much change to break any compatibility with the previous jailbreak guide.

This is interesting as Saurik (Jay Freeman) publically opposed the release of Cydia pack manager for iOS 6 released by Andrew Liu. From Dev Team’s website:
“The “dev3″ version covers today’s 6.0beta3 release (and also adds explicit support for 6.0beta2). Please point redsn0w at the 6.0b3 IPSW in order to jailbreak beta3 and boot tethered.”
Even though iOS 6 beta has so many new features, it’s still not a stable OS and many apps and Cydia tweaks are incompatible. This shouldn’t be a worry, as a public release will allow more work to be done and make the popular apps and tweaks compatible. It should also be noted that limera1n exploit would only lead to a tethered jailbreak, and there won’t be any Cydia installed. However, you can follow our guide on how to install Cydia on iOS 6. You can access the device through SSH and afc2. The jailbreaking guide is the same for the new beta.
